Wipe frequently with a dry cloth to remove dust. Occasionally wipe down with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly.

Brass – BR | PB | EB | ANB
Brass hardware that has a lacquered finish should be wiped down with warm soapy water and dried thoroughly.

Installation Instructions

  • All installations should be carried out following the supplied manufacturer’s instructions
  • Test all installations to ensure they work correctly
  • Installing hardware incorrectly can result in the manufacturer’s guarantee being invalidated

Hinges
Recommended maintenance: Monthly

  • Check all fixings and tighten where required
  • With a dry cloth, wipe away any visible grease

Ensure all hinges are installed correctly as per manufacturer’s instructions. Hinges graded to the BS EN 1135 standard that are incorrectly installed could result in the invalidation of the manufacturer’s guarantee.

*It should be noted that a dry film lubricant may be required in certain circumstances (such as in dusty environments where an mixture of dust and oil would form an abrasive substance that could damage the hinge). A dry film lubricant would also be required on hinges that are cleaned frequently with detergent, as detergent will remove the oil.

  • Check all fixings and tighten where required
  • Follow the general cleaning instructions
  • Ensure all moving parts are free from foreign material

  • Check for damage or obstructions of the exit
  • Ensure all sockets and strike plates are free of foreign material
  • Follow the general cleaning instructions
  • Ensure all moving parts are suitably lubricated

Ensure all emergency exit hardware is installed correctly as per manufacturer’s instructions. All emergency exit hardware must comply the BS EN 179 or BS EN 1125 standard and incorrect installation could invalidate the manufacturer’s guarantee or fail to work correctly.
